Bruce Rougraff has published over 50 scientific articles, textbook chapters and now his first award winning fictional novel. He grew up in Texas and spent most of his weekends as a boy on Galveston Island where he dug for treasure and rode the waves. Now he lives in the Midwest with his wife, four grown children, and two grandchildren. He loves the outdoors and spends his free time boating, fishing, and skiing. His favorite places to visit are the upper peninsula of Michigan, Mexico, and southwest Florida where he still digs holes in the sand.
